The Astrology Behind Meant-to-Be Events
Sometimes things happen that feel like they’re meant to be, and lady destiny is in play, spinning the karmic wheel and choosing what you land on. Sure, it might just be in your head, but not always, and astrology can help you figure that out.
You’ll want to make use of predictive astrology, where you follow the transit, or moving, planets as they go through the Zodiac signs and come to certain positions in relation to your natal chart (aka your birth chart). So, what are some of the astrological occurrences you can look out for? Let’s explore:
Look at Transit Planets Conjunct the Lunar Nodes
There is very little out there that is more spiritual and karmic in nature than the Lunar Nodes! To be precise, they’re the points in the Moon’s orbit where the Moon crosses the ecliptic, and there are two Lunar Nodes that exactly oppose each other in the Zodiac.
The North Node is your purpose and potential, and where you find ultimate happiness in life, while the South Node is the past, baggage, and what you already know.
The transit planets conjunct your natal North or South Node can trigger a fated development in your life. This can be strong when it’s transit Mars, Ceres, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, or Chiron.
It can be scary when it’s conjunct your natal North Node. This is unfamiliar energy you need to learn, so there can be hesitation involved at first. But pushing through can help you to end up somewhere that feels meant to be, or to do something that feels meant to be, or to connect with someone that feels meant to be.
It can be easier when it’s conjunct your natal South Node since this is familiar energy, and events may tie into past lives, your early life, and old patterns and habits. There can be a lesson to learn that allows you to move forward with less baggage and release an old crutch.
Retrogrades Conjunct the Lunar Nodes
It can be super strong when transit Mercury, Venus, Mars, or Ceres conjunct your North or South Node while they’re retrograde. Bodies are retrograde when they appear to move backward through the Zodiac, and they tend to be spiritual and karmic as well. Meeting up with the Lunar Nodes can indicate a major fated event coming!
Retrogrades can be challenging energy though (since normal motion is forward), so the fated events might expose issues and baggage, and there can be blocks to work through or hurdles to clear. But the impact can be lasting, and even profound.
Progressed Planets Turning Anaretic Can Also Trigger Fated Events
Every Zodiac sign is made up of 30 degrees (360 degrees for the whole Zodiac), and 29 degrees is the last degree of each sign. This is referred to as the anaretic degree, and it has supercharged energy.
Meanwhile the progressed chart adds one day to your date of birth for every year you’ve been alive (so your current age), and this creates a new chart called the progressed chart. This chart reflects how you mature and grow through life, and can be used in predictive astrology.
When planets in the progressed chart reach 29 degrees, they are readying to exit the Zodiac sign. This means there’s this push to get you to take action while you still have the chance (before the progressed planet enters the new sign). And that can trigger major fated events in your life, and the actions you take can feel meant to be.
This can be strongest for slow planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Chiron) since this doesn’t happen for everyone, and you need to have been born somewhat close to when that planet turned anaretic. They can remain anaretic for a long time too (even decades!). But even the progressed Moon, who moves the fastest of the progressed planets and is only anaretic for about one month every 2 ½ years, can trigger fated events.
Huge When Those Progressed Anaretic Planets Are Retrograde
Sometimes, the progressed planet won’t be moving forward into a new sign, and will instead be moving backward, meaning it’s retrograde and has just left one Zodiac sign and come to the new one, where it’s now anaretic (so it moves from 0 degrees of one sign to 29 degrees of the previous sign).
This can be HUGE! There absolutely will be significant events that occur (related to the planet or to the two Zodiac signs) that feel meant to be in a big way. But, this can also come with challenges since the planet is retrograde, so there can be hurdles, blocks, and old issues that get dug up.
When this occurs, you may have some lessons to learn, and some of what you go through might be meant to strengthen you through adversity.
